Agbeyewa Farms and Shine Bridge Global Forge Strategic Partnership to Advance Cassava Innovation and Food Security

In a significant move to strengthen Nigeria’s cassava value chain and drive food security, Agbeyewa Farms received the team of Shine Bridge Global, a U.S.-based agribusiness and food technology company on a courtesy visit to the farm. The visitation aims to deepen research, enhance productivity, and promote sustainable agricultural development through technology and innovation.

The delegation of Shine Bridge Global executives was led by Dr. Tony Bello, Kate Frank, and Dr. Ime—to Agbeyewa Farms’ Ipao in Ekiti State. Discussions during the visit focused on advancing cassava processing, building inclusive agricultural systems, and developing frameworks that ensure food security and economic empowerment for local farmers.

Speaking during the visit, Dr. Tony Bello, Chairman of Shine Bridge Global, commended Agbeyewa Farms for its innovation-driven model and large-scale operations. He introduced Shine Bridge Global’s “Three S” framework—Security of Supply, Scaling Processes, and Sustainability & Ecosystem—which he noted aligns seamlessly with Agbeyewa’s vision for agricultural transformation.

“Innovation is key, and that is what Agbeyewa stands for,” Dr. Bello said. “This partnership will integrate science-driven technologies with local expertise to build resilient agricultural systems that feed communities and empower farmers across generations.” Kate Frank, also part of the delegation, expressed admiration for Agbeyewa’s commitment to sustainable farming and community impact.

“This is the biggest cassava farm I’ve ever seen,” she remarked. “Mr. John Olajide is a visionary leader who genuinely cares about people and progress. Agbeyewa’s work is setting a new standard for what agriculture in Africa can achieve.”

Welcoming the delegation, Mr. Quadri Awosanya, Operations Manager of Agbeyewa Farms, described the partnership as a defining moment in the company’ s mission to revolutionize agriculture in Nigeria and beyond.

“Our goal has always been to redefine agriculture through innovation, sustainability, and meaningful partnerships,” Awosanya stated. “Collaborating with Shine Bridge Global enables us to strengthen our value chain, expand cassava processing capacity, and contribute to food security while empowering the next generation of agricultural leaders. This alliance reinforces our commitment to building sustainable ecosystems that secure the future of food production in Nigeria.”

The Agbeyewa–Shine Bridge Global partnership underscores a shared commitment to transforming agriculture through innovation, collaboration, and community-focused impact—positioning Nigeria as a hub for cassava innovation and agribusiness excellence.
