The Commanding Officer of the Headquarters 148 Battalion of the Nigerian Army, Lieutenant Colonel Dimka, has pledged continued security support for the operations of Agbeyewa Farms following a familiarization visit to the company’s base in Ipao-Ekiti.
The visit formed part of the Commanding Officer’s ongoing stakeholder engagement efforts aimed at strengthening security collaboration and fostering a peaceful operating environment.
Upon arrival at Agbeyewa Ipao Farm, Lt. Col. Dimka was received by the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Agbeyewa Farms, Oska Seyi Aiyeleso, alongside members of the management team.


In his welcome remarks, Aiyeleso reaffirmed the company’s commitment to partnerships that advance national development. He noted that Agbeyewa Farms remains focused on promoting food security, youth empowerment, and rural development through large-scale agricultural investment.
“Agriculture is a national service, and we are proud to contribute our part,” he stated.
The Managing Director further highlighted the company’s longstanding collaboration with the Nigerian Army and its role in enabling a secure environment for operations. Reiterating the vision of the Chairman of Agbeyewa Farms and Cavista Holdings, Niyi John Olajide, he emphasized Agbeyewa’s commitment to job creation and economic growth. He disclosed that the company is targeting the cultivation of 5,000 hectares of cassava in 2026 as part of its contribution to strengthening food security in Nigeria.
Providing further insights into the company’s operations, the Vice President, Operations, Anthonia Attoh, outlined Agbeyewa’s rapid growth since its establishment in 2022. She highlighted the deployment of mechanized farming systems and the company’s positive socio-economic impact across its host communities, describing Agbeyewa as “a force for good” committed to sustainable agro-allied development.
In his remarks, Lt. Col. Dimka commended the scale of development and the opportunities being created by Agbeyewa . He reaffirmed the Nigerian Army’s commitment to maintaining a secure environment that enables the company’s operations to thrive.
“We will continue to support your security needs,” he assured.
A key highlight of the visit was the decoration of the Commanding Officer as an Ambassador of Agbeyewa Farms, symbolizing the strengthening partnership between the organization and the Nigerian military in advancing a food-secure Nigeria.
The visit concluded with a tour of Agbeyewa Farms’ operational hubs across Ipao where the Commanding Officer observed ongoing farming operations.
