Agbeyewa Farms Deepens Security Collaboration with Nigerian Army Amid Expansion Plans

Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State –

Agbeyewa Farms has reaffirmed its strategic security partnership with the Nigerian Army following a courtesy visit to the Commanding Officer of the 148 Battalion in Ikere-Ekiti, Lieutenant Colonel Dimka, as the agribusiness firm intensifies its expansion drive across Ekiti State.

The delegation, led by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Oska Seyi Aiyeleso, commended the Battalion for its sustained support, noting that the military’s presence across the company’s operational areas has played a critical role in maintaining stability and preventing disruptions to farming activities.

Speaking during the visit, Aiyeleso underscored the strong link between security and agricultural productivity, stating that the company’s operations have remained stable due to the Army’s support. He added that Agbeyewa Farms is targeting the cultivation of 5,000 hectares in 2026 as part of its broader contribution to food security and rural development.


Also speaking, the Director of Community Engagement, Alhaji Dauda Lawal, described the role of the 148 Battalion as pivotal, highlighting the Army’s discipline and professionalism in fostering peace within host communities and enabling sustainable agricultural growth.

In his response, the Commanding Officer of the 148 Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Dimka, appreciated the visit and reaffirmed the Battalion’s commitment to supporting legitimate business operations. He, however, noted that current deployments across the country have placed constraints on available manpower, while assuring that the Army would continue to respond to security needs as required.
