EWI OF ADO-EKITI LAUDS AGBEYEWA FARMS FOR DRIVING INDUSTRIALISATION, ENHANCING SECURITY, AND EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES IN EKITI STATE

Ipao-Ekiti, Ekiti State –

The Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, His Royal Majesty, Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi III, has praised Agbeyewa Farms for its far-reaching impact on economic development, security, and community empowerment across Ekiti State.

Speaking during a recent engagement with the Agbeyewa delegation who paid a courtesy visit to his palace, the revered monarch described the company as a key driver in actualising a 30-year-old vision conceived at the creation of Ekiti State – an ambition to industrialise the state through strategic private sector investments.

He noted that Agbeyewa’s operations are not only accelerating agricultural productivity but are also creating meaningful employment opportunities for young people, thereby addressing one of the root causes of insecurity. “Agbeyewa has demonstrated that agriculture, when done at scale and with purpose, can transform societies. Their presence in previously vulnerable areas has helped restore peace and stability, while also providing jobs for our youths,” the Ewi stated.

The monarch further commended the company’s deliberate efforts to engage and honour traditional institutions, particularly through the annual Agbeyewa Traditional Rulers Retreat, which he described as a valuable platform for dialogue, collaboration, and collective progress among royal fathers in the state. “By recognising the role of traditional rulers and creating a platform for us to engage meaningfully, Agbeyewa has strengthened the bond between communities and development partners,” he added.

Oba Adejugbe also acknowledged the broader contributions of Cavista Holdings and its affiliates, including Agbeyewa Farms and Glocient Hospitality, managers of Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort. He noted that their investments reflect a clear commitment to using business as a force for good – driving transformation across agriculture, tourism, and community development in Ekiti State.

The Ewi specifically commended the Chairman of Cavista Holdings, Niyi John Olajide, for his continued efforts in giving back to Ekiti State through impactful investments that are improving livelihoods and positioning the state for long-term prosperity. He also assured Agbeyewa of the unwavering support of traditional rulers across Ekiti State, emphasizing their readiness to collaborate in strengthening communities and sustaining the positive transformation already underway.

The Agbeyewa delegation was led by the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Agbeyewa Farms and Matna Foods Company Limited, Mr. Oska Seyi Aiyeleso. Other members of the delegation included Alhaji Dauda Lawal, Director of Community Engagement; Mr. Rotimi Wusu, Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications; and Barrister Tolu Olowoyo, Principal Legal Officer.

In his remarks, Mr. Oska Aiyeleso expressed gratitude for the royal endorsement and reaffirmed Agbeyewa’s commitment to deepening its impact through sustainable agriculture, job creation, and strong community partnerships. He reiterated that the core mission driving Cavista Holdings’ investments in Nigeria, under the leadership of its Chairman, Niyi John Olajide, is clear and unwavering: to create jobs, more jobs, and even more jobs for Nigerians.

The engagement underscores the vibrant synergy between Agbeyewa Farms and traditional institutions in advancing food security and economic empowerment in Ekiti State and Nigeria, at large.
